Requisition forms were in your mailboxes last week. Please complete and return by the due date.
As groups are going on field trips this spring, please be reminded to fill in a field trip form for the school office as well as letting the kitchen know. Have fun!
Plugs have been pulled from the ball diamonds recently. This may be occurring outside of school hours; however, Please instruct the children to leave the plugs in. Thanks.
The revised plan is found your mailboxes. It is meant to coordinated with the proposed academic calendar for St. Paul’s School. It is a draft that the steering committee will consider. Talk to a member of the committee or me with questions or further input.
Please bring your “handout 14″ that was stapled with some copied text pages. This handout was given shortly after our in-service in March. This would be in addition to your maps, grade level goal (which was the contructed response item implementation), and some sample evidences. We will meet in the Lecture room.
Looking over curriculum maps, I see we have some work to do to get up to speed.
Please be prepared for grade level meetings by bringing grade level mapping goal, curriculum maps that reflect grade level goal, and goal evidences (student sample work) for group reflection to grade level meetings this week Wednesday.
God bless your efforts.
Ray Rothe presented on Curriculum mapping. Principals discussed benefits and administrative considerations of process. Emphasis was on the nature of the process: It is reflective(diary maps). It is collaborative(regular grade level meetings). It is student centered. Considerations of software, timelines, and staff concerns were also discussed.
Joint Operations model was recieved and discussed. The principals will take the model to school boards over the next several months for reflection. The model included curriculuar impact items including the feasiblity of a shared teacher for Spanish, Technology, Band, or Learning Coordinator position. Principals will bring results back at the August conference and forward the results to the task force in late summer.
After talking with Pastor Sutton, we are going to leave the called worker Bible study at 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday. He will comment on Care Committee for Called Workers, and I will plan on commenting the resurrection of the TEAM ministry process. We will look to be done by 4 p.m.
