Mr. Bielke called and asked if Mt. Olive could come visit our school on Monday, January 23-two weeks from now. They are taking the day off from school and using this as a continuing education experience. He shared with me the thought that perhaps it would be healthy for them to see how someone else may do things differently. That is a sentiment we all could echo in some degree. In any case, this will involve all of us sharing some time with our brothers and sisters in the ministry. I will need to set schedule times for us.

South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds(R)proposed using $13 million in state funds to help school districts buy or lease laptop computers for students in grades 9-12.
“Unless you give students the technology access beyond the school day, then you’re really not penetrating into an area where all kids can use the technology,” he said.
If schools have to pay two-thirds of the cost, it might not be such a good deal. Brandon Valley Superintendent George Gulson said that if his district leased laptops for its 820 high school students, the school’s share would be more than $500,000. Brandon Valley spends about $300,000 a year upgrading its existing technology, the superintendent said.
We cleaned out the storeage area across from the Lecture Room. There are two boxes of older wooden coat hangers we are looking to discard. They are by the lost and found barrel in the lower level. If you want any for heavier coats that you may have in your closet at home-help yourself.
Over the Christmas break, Mr. Schaefer installed a system for the gym lights. Two switches are on the wall above the breaker box. These two switches turn on the lights. No longer to you need to flip on switches in the breaker box. As a result the box is now locked. Aaron, please rely this message to coaches.
One of several articles I’ve read lately on the availability of free preschool and kindergarten.
