School Improvement Project Update

Our School Improvement Project Campaign Committee has put together an informative video to help you understand where we are and where we are going with the project. We showed this video at our school during Lutheran Schools Week, and that video can now also be viewed on our website. Lutheran Schools Week Coming Up

Wednesday, January 28

Next week is Lutheran Schools Week (February 1-8), in which we join in thanking God for the blessing of a school where God's Word is taught and children are built up in their faith. Below is the schedule for the week as it has been distributed to our students. Please feel free to visit for any of the acitvities and join us in celebrating the blessings we have at St. Paul's.

Live Stream of Christmas Eve Services

Tuesday, December 23

Our Children's Christmas Eve service will be live streamed at 2:30 on Christmas Eve. That service will also be recorded and available to view online at a later date. Our 9:00 PM Candlelight service on Christmas Eve will also be streamed live. Both can be found by going to our Live Streams page under "Resources", or by clicking here.

New Connect Groups Beginning Soon!

In January we will have a Connect Fair to highlight some of the new groups starting in 2015. But you don't have to wait for the Connect Fair! Check out the new groups in the Connect Group section of our website by clicking here.

Groups beginning include groups for visual arts and multi-media, men's vocalists and guitar players, grief recovery, a book readers' group, and more.

 

This Week at St. Paul's

Saturday, December 13
Advent Worship 

Please join us for one of our Advent Worship Services Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m., 4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. We will continue to worship under the theme, "The birth of our Savior was no surprise at all." 
"Christmas for Kids" Event -THIS Saturday

All children, ages 3 through 6th grade, are invited to "Christmas for Kids" on Saturday, December 13th. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 12:30 p.m. The event is free, and includes: the Christmas Story, crafts, music and lunch for all children and their families. 

You can register by clicking on this link, or by calling the church office at 354-3641. Please note that the online registration will close at noon on Friday, but you can still register on Saturday morning in person. 
Bake Sale This Weekend

This weekend there will be a bake sale on Saturday after the 6:00 p.m. worship service and between the services on Sunday morning. This bake sale is sponsored by WINGS, and the proceeds will benefit the many different WINGS projects.

Donations of baked good are appreciated; please deliver them to the church kitchen by4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Caroling Set for December 18th

Do you like to sing? Do you like to spread Christmas cheer? If so, join us on Thursday, December 18th at 5:00 p.m. We will meet in the Fireside Room at church and go from there. All ages and all singing abilities are invited!
Christmas Bags for Kids

On December 15th at 7:30 p.m., we invite all who are willing to come and help fill treat bags for the school children who present their Christmas program on Christmas Eve, and all other kids who attend. You are welcome to join our Men's Bible study group for a short devotion and then help fill bags. It should take about an hour and change. 
Do You Have Old Cords?

We are collecting old Christmas lights, extension cords, phone cords – anything with copper wiring in it, and recycling them and putting the money towards our school project. There is a drop-site in the church fellowship hall. Thank you! 
Sunday School Children Sing Dec. 14

Our Sunday School children will be singing in the11:00 a.m. worship service next Sunday, December 14th. As usual, we ask that they sit with their parents throughout the service and then they will be invited forward at the appropriate time to sing. 

 

Karen Schroeder Memorial Service

A memorial service for Karen Schroeder was held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on December 4th, 2014. The family has given permission for the service to be broadcast, and we have provided that video below.

Building Project Update

Tuesday, September 23

The Voters of St. Paul's have approved raising $5.35 million for school upgrades, repairs, and new construction to include a fully functional early childhood education wing and the relocation of school offices. 

These funds will also allow us to build the shell for a second gymnasium, new locker rooms and two additional classrooms. We hope to raise more funds in the future to complete these additional areas as quickly as possible.
