Building Project Update and Open Forum/Voter's Meeting

This week we will have a special Open Forum and Voter's Meeting related to the building project at St. Paul's School. We have up to date information from the architect as well as a variety of options at various cost levels. We would like our Voters to be well informed as we work together to make a decision that will best use the resources and opportunities God has given us. Confirmation starts September 3rd

Saturday, August 30

Confirmation classes begin Wednesday, Sepember 3rd, for students of St. Paul's Lutheran School and for Public School students. Please remember to bring a Bible. Workbooks will be handed out on the first day of class. 

Public School students should get to church shortly before 6:30 PM. Class meets in the old church basement. Parents, please pick students up at 7:45 PM.

Fellowship Picnic - August 14th, 5:30 PM

Join us for food and fun at Herman Heights Park at 5:30 PM on Thursday, August 14th. Bring a chair and enjoy time with your brothers and sisters in Christ! All food and drink is provided, so all we need is you! 

School Registration - August 7

Tuesday, August 5

Registration Day at St. Paul's School is Thursday, August 7 from 10 AM – 2 PM and 4 – 7 PM. The Social Committee will be serving a meal at school during registration hours. The sloppy joe meal will include a sandwich, fruit, chips, and a drink for $3.50.

August 4th Koine and Ice Cream Social

Friday, August 1

On August 4th Koine will come provide for our Monday evening worship service at 6:30 PM. All are welcome to attend, even if you have gone to worship already that weekend. You can learn more about Koine at www.koinemusic.com.

After the service there will be an ice cream social, and all are welcome to come and join.

Sunday Bible Study

Monday, July 28

Beginning August 3rd, Pastor Ross Stelljes will begin a series os Bible Studies on the Passover Psalms (Psalms 113-118). These Old Testament hymns, sometimes called the Egyptian Hallel (Praise), were used during the Passover festival, and were probably sung by Jesus and his disciples during the Last Supper (Matthew 26:30). 

Please join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the Fellowship Hall.

Fide - Contemporary Worship Band Saturday Night

Wednesday, July 16

This Saturday at 6:00 p.m. we will have a special worship concert in place of our regular worship service. Fide, a musical group made up of three Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary students - Peter Schlicht, Caleb Schmiege and Caleb Schultz - young men who are studying for the pastoral ministry, will present a worship concert entitled, Cornerstones

Due to the concert, we will not celebrate the Lord's Supper in the Saturday evening worship service. The Lord's Supper will however be celebrated in all of the other worship services this weekend. 

Special Voter's Meeting July 27th - School Project

Wednesday, July 16

We have collected much information and guidance regarding what we feel we can and cannot do with the school improvement project. The committees involved in the project have considered many options, and would like our voters to meet to consider recommendations needed to progress with the school improvement project. For more information, refer to the School Improvement Update in today's bulletin. The meeting will take place July 27th at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

Devotions return

Saturday, July 5

Pastor Smith's email devotion series, God's Word for You, has returned with a new series on the Prophet Jeremiah. On most Saturdays, there will also be devotions on selected Proverbs. This series on Jeremiah will also faeture an original translation of Jeremiah by Pastor Smith.
