Sunday Bible Study: Philippians

Sunday, September 22

New Bible Study: Beginning Sunday September 29, Professor Joel Fredrich will present a six-part series on Paul's Letter to the Philippians, Sometimes known as the Epistle of Joy, this letter is a favorite of many Christians, with many memorable passages such as "For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain" (1:21), "at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow" (2:10), "the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith" (3:9) and "I can do everything through him who gives me strength" (4:13). Everyone is welcome at this study, which meets at 9:30 am Sunday mornings from September 29th through November 3rd.

Bible Class - The New Atheism

Thursday, August 22

This Sunday Pastor Sutton will be presenting in Bible Class about "The New Atheism". Atheism - the denial of the existence of God - is nothing new. However, there is a trend among atheists today that they are actively seeking to tear down religious belief and "convert" believers into atheists. Men like Richard Dawkins are making careers out of speaking engagements and publishing books aimed at solidifying people in their atheism and adding more people to their ranks. Why? Pastor Sutton is going to try and help us understand their motivations, why we should not fear their message, and what we can do to spread the truth of the Gospel just as fervently.

Bible Study on Creation vs Evolution

Wednesday, August 14

Starting this Sunday Prof. Lyle Lange of MLC will be presenting a series on Creation vs. Evolution. Combining video and discussion he will help us understand the competing messages of Scripture and popular science, and show us how science actually reveals the hand of our Maker. He will also help us understand how we can solidify our confidence in Scripture and speak to others about that confidence. Join us at 9:30 on Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall for this series.
