St. Paul's School began in 1885 and is a prekindergarten through
grade eight
elementary school that is owned and operated by St.
Paul's Lutheran Church. The church, a member of
the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS),
has a long history of supporting full time Christian
Education.
The school is also supported
by St. John's
Lutheran Church, of New Ulm. St. John's supplies
four of the staff. It also pays
a partial tuition for students of their congregation who
attend.
St. Paul's Lutheran is
staffed by thirteen teachers and Principals Paul
Fritze and Dale Markgraf. Four pastors and a staff minister also
conduct catechism lessons with fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth
grade students during school hours.
