Sheri Portner was born and raised in New Ulm. She attended St. Paul’s grade school and graduated from New Ulm Public in 1982. She graduated from MSU – Mankato in 1986 with a degree in accounting. She worked in the banking industry for 20 years, until taking the position of bookkeeper for the church and school in 2010. She is married to Wayne and they have been blessed with three children.
